Posted by Ernest Miller on Wednesday, July 04 @ 00:13:21 EDT OpenAccess
The Washtech.com section of the Washington Post covers (Long-Distance Romancing) the recent advertising blitzes by supporters and opponents of Tauzin-Dingell, otherwise known as HR 1542. T-D would permit your local phone monopoly, ahem, company, to enter the long-distance data service market without opening their local lines to competitors. More information on this legislation can be found at the Internet Freedom Rally and in this Washington Post special report, Telecommunications: The Broadband Deregulation Debate.
