Posted by Ernest Miller on Sunday, October 14 @ 22:18:25 EDT Privacy
Yahoo! News carries a Reuters wire story in which Scott McNealy, chairman and CEO of Sun Microsystems, comes out in favor of a National ID card, powered by Java, naturally (Sun Micro CEO Sees More Support for National ID). The New York Times (reg. req.) publishes an opinion piece by Alan Dershowitz in which he comes out in favor of National ID cards as well, including biometric information (Why Fear National ID Cards?). Slashdot hosts a discussion of McNealy's call for ID cards (McNealy Calls for National ID Card Too) - which includes a humorous poem.
