Spam Laws Worldwide: FTC Teaming Up With UK & Australia to Fight Spam

The FTC has announced that the US, UK, and Australia will join forces to share spam intelligence. What the FTC called "consumer protection cops" have issued a Memorandum of Understanding, which is a somewhat formal agreement to share information.

Australia and the UK depend on their administrative agencies (Communications Authority and Information Commissioner) to enforce their spam laws. These countries, despite strict laws, have had much less success than the FTC in pressing charges. Perhaps increased intelligence can help.
