One often finds 19-month old data on an old floppy or a discarded hard drive. Sometimes, though, you can find it in the belly of a fish, too.
Indeed, the Wasington Post reports that a fishmerman in MN found 19-months worth of data in the belly of a lake trout. The data lived on what the Washington Post describes as a "computer the size of a pinky," surgically placed in the fish's belly by agents of the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission who wanted to study the fish's natural environment.
"As for Mattson, he ate the fish before realizing he was supposed to return the whole thing to Mattes. Mattson still got a $100 reward for returning the computer."
Yum.
