Computer Analysis of Voting Patterns May Be Inaccurate
Posted by Paul Szynol on Tuesday, November 05 @ 12:43:32 EST News
Voter News Service's computer system, which is supposed to calibrate a range of election data (e.g., demographics, voter motivation, etc), may not be functioning as planned.
Ted Savaglio, executive director of the service, said he was unable to describe fully the last-minute difficulties that had popped up in the new system. But, he said, the service's statisticians are not yet confident about the accuracy of its statewide surveys; they are even less sure about the processing of its national poll of voters' attitudes.
