ZDNet News has gathered its coverage on this issue into a special report (After the attack: Privacy vs. security). The have also published a new article that summarizes many of the issues (Attacks silence privacy concerns). A commentary in favor of crypto is also available (Ban crypto, cripple commerce). This isn't just a U.S. issue: ZDNet News Australia reports that Australians are concerned with American moves to restrict crypto (Aust: Encryption crackdown gets thumbs down).
