Transcript of Posner's Speech on IP Law
Posted by Steven Wu on Sunday, December 08 @ 15:09:59 EST Copyright
Lawmeme recently posted a story about a speech that Seventh Circuit Judge Richard Posner gave on intellectual property law (Posner Criticizes Intellectual Property Law). Since then, none other than Lawrence Lessig has posted his opinion that Judge Posner could not possibly have said what the article said he said.

Now, an unofficial transcript of Posner's speech is available online. Judge for yourself whether Lessig was right--but it's worth nothing that, among other things (including an amusing introduction about Beanie Babies), Posner says, "And then [there] is the Sony Bono Copyright Term Extension Act, one of the, I think absurd statutes in history."
