Yahoo Yodeler Settles Lawsuit
Posted by Raul Ruiz on Tuesday, April 23 @ 09:32:22 EDT Copyright

Yahoo announced yesterday that they have settled its copyright infringement case involving singer Wylie Gustafson, the yodeler that made the Yahoo yodel [WAV]. Although the terms of the settlement were not disclosed, Yahoo said they would be able to continue their use of the yodel in future advertisements and marketing material. (C|Net - Yahoo settles yodeler suit)

Gustafson is a member of the country band Wylie & the Wild West. He filed a lawsuit last week in the .S. District Court for the Central District of California seeking $5 million in damages for Yahoo's continued use of his yodel, for which he was only paid $590 in 1996 to record the yodel.
