Automated Programming a Liability for Radio Station
Posted by Paul Szynol on Wednesday, October 23 @ 13:45:02 EDT Oddities
At about 6:30AM, WRFX- FM in Charlotte reported another attack by the Montgomery County sniper; at 6:40, immediately after the report, the station played Queen's "Another one Bites the Dust", to the chagrin of some listeners, who called the radio station to complain, the Charlotte Observer reports.

The show's executive producer, Randy Brazell, explained that the song had been programmed into the computer system weeks ago, and the track was not played intentionally. "There is a lot of high technology involved in this redneck show," Brazell said.
