The World According to Sergey Brin (via Google)

Google week continues: Wired has a story entitled "Google vs. Evil" that explains how the moral and political preferences of Google co-president/co-founder Sergey Brin are embedded in every decision that Google makes--including who to advertise, who to filter, and how to deal with foreign governments.

For the most part, Brin sounds like a good person: his motto for making decisions about Google is, "Don't be evil." Nevertheless, it's a little scary that a single person has so much power over the Internet.

(Also see the Slashdot thread here, which discusses Brin's decision to refuse alcohol and tobacco advertising but accept pornography advertising.)
