Sex.com case turning dirty

Now justices in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals are hoping to sort out at least one of the issues: whether domain name registrar VeriSign can be held responsible for turning the Sex.com name over to someone who sent the company a forged letter requesting the transfer.

Looks like the courts are beginning to understand the internet. For a while they didn't consider domain names tangible property, but Judge Alex Kozinski gave a good analogy relating domain names to stock certificates at your local brokerage firm--seemingly intangible, but still property linking the owner. Granted, I haven't taken property yet, but it makes sense to me...
