Trouble Upstream For Savvis's Spammers
Posted by Rebecca Bolin on Wednesday, September 08 @ 23:35:08 EDT Spam
Savvis, a massive service provider associated with financial institutions, has promised to pull the plug on the 148 spammers on its network. An ex-employee estimated Savvis was making an $2 million a month on this crew of dedicated spammers, some long-term customers, though Savvis has disputed this figure.

It seems the publicity problems have finally caught up with Savvis, and it promises to disconnect its known violators within ten days. Hats off to Spamhaus for making this happen and giving Savvis the data and pressure it needed for this big step.
