Online Law School Students Graduate
Posted by Steven Wu on Thursday, November 21 @ 18:46:41 EST News
According to Wired, Concord Law School's first graduating class are receiving their degrees today. What makes Concord's graduates unusual is that this is the first time that JDs have been awarded to students attending a law school that teaches completely online, through videos, chatrooms, and email. Indeed, the graduation ceremony will be only the third time that students and faculty meet face-to-face.

The American Bar Association and the California Bar Association have both refused to accredit the school. This won't be a problem for most of the 14 graduates: many of them only wish to use their knowledge of the law to supplement an already-existing career, and for those who actually want to practice law, California allows students who do not attend accredited institutions to take the bar exam anyway.
